user attention via visual ow on web designs. ACM Transactions on Graphics (Proc. SIGGRAPH Asia 2016). 35(6), 240:1-11, 2016. Given an existing web design as well as a designer-speci ed path over a subset of page components, our approach automatically optimizes the web design so that the resulting design can direct users?attention to move along the input path. In project, we build user attention models to characterize user attention behaviors and propose a attention-guided optimization framework. 2. Ying Cao, Xufang Pang, Antoni B. Chan and Rynson W.H. Lau. Dynamic Manga: Animating Still Manga via Camera Movement, in IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, 19(1):160-172, 2017. Given a series of existing manga pages, we automatically extract the panels, comic characters, and balloons from each page. Then, we use a data-driven graphical model to infer per-panel motion and emotion states from low-level visual patterns. Finally, we simulate camera movements over the manga pages, yielding an animation. 3. Xufang Pang, Ying Cao, Rynson W.H. Lau and Antoni B. Chan. Yangyan Li, Shengfeng He. A Tool-Free Calibration Method for Turntable-based 3D Scanning Systems, IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 36(1):52-61, 2016. We propose a method to automatically calibrate the turntable axis for turnable- based 3D scanner. Given a scan sequence of the input scans, the rotation axis is recovered from an automatic registration step. And then the nal turntable axis is obtained through an iterative procedure. 5. Extracting Valley-Ridge Lines from Point-Cloud-Based 3D Fingerprint Models, IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications 33(4): 73-81 2013. We directly extracts valley-ridge features from point-cloud-based 3D ngerprint models. We rst applies the MLS method to t local point set with paraboloid surface. And then by computing the curvatures and curvature tensors of each point, we get the potential valley and ridge points, and nally, we lter the points and grows polylines over them. 7.
